You can display connections to multiple different services at the same time -- useful for comparisons of holidays offered by different companies.
The user interface is split into three panels:
Clicking on the service tree when already connected will create a new window for each new service.
The services available through a Travel Hub are presented in a tree -- the administrator of a Travel Hub can arrange the services according to their preference. The default tree simply shows the services for the provider in alphabetical order.
The service tree is used as follows:
Typically when logging on to a Videotex service you supply a 3-letter reference to identify yourself. You can enter your preferred reference in a 'reference box' and this will be uploaded to each service on automatic logon.
Similarly, you can request Videotex prompts or the absence of prompts in a pulldown list. This too is uploaded to the service on automatic logon.
Connection to a Videotex service is via a Carapace Travel Hub. This Hub can be configured to hold logon information which is automatically uploaded to the service once a connection has been established.
This panel holds a Carapace Emulator which gives you access to the Videotex travel service. The two buttons allow you to:
The administrator for a Travel Hub can record information about each travel service. One common piece of information is the telephone number for the service helpdesk.
The information panel shows a table holding the recorded details.
