Users

The CAT holds the following types of information about users of the system:

username, password etc.
email addresses
roles
the capabilities of the user -- i.e. the job types managed by the user at a given stage of the recruitment process

The System Maintenance menu has a link to the user-maintenance part of the UI. Here, new users can be added, details about a user can be modified and users may be deleted.

Roles

Users within the CAT system can take on one or more roles. The role defines the tasks which the user is allowed to perform.

Role	Description
cv entry	enter details about new applications into the system
cv assessor	perform an initial assessment on received applications
interview admin	arrange all aspects of interviews, offers, rejections etc.
interviewer	perform interviews -- the type of jobs for which this person can interview is configurable
CAT admin	maintain the CAT database -- this role is the most powerful of all the CAT roles and has access to all the data within the CAT

Initial User

At installation, an initial user is created which has the CAT admin privilege. The user name and initial password are given below:

user name	`carapace`
password	`CARAPACE`

NOTE: For security reasons, it is important to change this password after installation.
