Applications On Hold

Summary

For applications which are 'on hold', the actions performed at this stage are:

  1. Record that the applicant has been informed -- if the applicant has a recorded email address, the CAT can send a mail message to the applicant. The contents of this mail message can be customised by you since it is built from a template.

  2. Assign a new status for this application -- for instance, the application could be passed back for re-assessment or have an interview arranged.

Detail

Changing the status of an application is a significant action, so a comment is required to explain the reason for the change.

If the applicant has a recorded mail address, the CAT offers to send an email informing the applicant of the status change. The mails sent out can be customised -- the relevant templates involved are as follows:

on-hold to inform the applicant/agency of the application being put 'on hold'
off-hold to inform the applicant/agency of the application being taken off hold
reject to inform the applicant/agency of the application being rejected

If the status changes from 'on hold' to rejected, the rejection message is sent out instead of the 'off hold' one.
